The The release new single "$1 One Vote"

The The have returned with a new single.

The The's rocking new song "$1 One Vote" is Matt Johnson's on-point commentary about the world we find ourselves in today. According to Johnson,

“It is a song that has been percolating – in various versions – for a number of years. For some reason I was always having trouble finding the right words to finish it off. But the nascent dystopia of the last couple of years has certainly opened eyes, sharpened minds and clarified thoughts.”

The 7" single features previously unseen artwork by Johnson's late brother Andrew "Andy Dog" Johnson and features the b-side "Mrs Mac," a song that was previously released as a digital download in 2007.
